Today the NHS Pregnancy Desktop widget has been released. This was developed by us at The Team. It’s a desktop widget that runs with Adobe AIR and provides articles and tips for pregnant women.
It’s a very nice piece of work and we’re all very pround. Download it and take a look. It’ll be even more relevant if you’re expecting!

I’ve never heard so many people in the studio cry out! I sent the link round about the new brand for the London 2012 Olympics thats been unveiled today. Its supposed to “inspire” and encourage people “to get involved”. Oh dear. Looks like a creative has got a bit too carried away there! Working in a design agency, particularly one that focusses on branding does give an insight into how these brands come about. Me, I’m a very practical techy. I focus on meeting customer requirements and delivering what they need to meet their objectives. Typically its a program that does x or a report that shows y. You get the idea. I’ve seen how things can get carried away, but there are internal controls to steer that.
Shame they don’t appear to have those. I wonder what the bill for this was!

UPDATE
Just updated the image with one I found… can you spot the difference? Also, the bill was £400k!
